Deleting your data

Last updated: August 13, 2026

Stryde works without an account, so for most people there is nothing held anywhere but the phone. If you created an account for cloud sync or to connect a service, this explains how to remove it and everything attached to it.

Deleting your account from the app

Open Stryde, then go to Settings and choose to delete your account. You will be asked to confirm.

The local database on your device is cleared first, before anything is asked of the server, so deletion cannot leave you signed out of an account that still holds your data.

What is deleted

What happens if you only uninstall the app

Uninstalling removes everything held on the device, because that is where it lives. If you never turned on cloud sync, nothing of yours exists anywhere else and uninstalling is a complete deletion.

If you did turn on cloud sync, the synced copy is retained until you delete your account. Uninstalling alone does not remove it.

Retention

Account deletion is immediate rather than scheduled. There is no grace period during which the account can be restored.

One exception applies while you are still using the app: a food entry you delete is kept for 30 days so you can undo it, then permanently erased from the device and from cloud sync. Deleting your account removes it straight away regardless.

Export your data first, if you want it

Stryde can export your training data from Settings before you delete anything. Deletion is not reversible, and we cannot recover an account once it is gone.

If you cannot use the app

If you have lost access to your device or can no longer open the app, email support@stryde.app from the address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We will verify the request and confirm when it is done.
